Just wanted to say hello to everyone. My name is Byron and I am very (very)new to eating raw . . . first full day of eating 100% raw was yesterday. Most people think that I am crazy - and honestly, it is hard for me to imagine sustainability right now (eating out, eating at friends/family who invite you over, the holidays with family, etc.). I've committed to 2 weeks of 100% raw and then evaluate where I'm at.

Again, hello, and I'm really excited to see where this takes me....

Hi Margaret,

I would recommend giving the Healing Light Center a call. The offer a wide modality of alternative healing services and are big supporters of the raw food lifestyle (raw themselves for many years and host class, bimonthly pot-lucks, etc.)

Visit their websites for more information:

I need help finding a practitioner in Denver who can help my aunt in her fight against cancer. I live in Austin so I am not familiar with what is available in Denver. Is there a good living foods practitioner in Denver that can help guide my aunt with a raw foods diet in the advanced stages of cancer? I have only been eating a raw foods diet for a month and feel too novice to guide her. I feel I have to do whatever I can to help her because her doctors don't give her much time and she is willing to give...

Hello lovely raw foodists!

My name is Sat Kirtan and I am one of the lead chefs with the west coast mobile cafe The Bliss Bar (www.theblissbar.org).

I am visiting family here in Colorado and I thought it would be delightful to offer a raw food class to this community. Please feel free to post this invite to any other lists or email it to anyone you wish. My desire is that the maximum amount of people can welcome the New Year with new tools to transform their health and the planet.

Thanks!

Young coconuts ARE regular coconuts, they are just younger. When coconuts grown on trees, they grown as big green pods. As they mature, the pods grow away and you are left with the brown bowling ball type of coconut. Young coconuts are shipped with the green pod chopped off -- this is why young coconuts have that kind of pointy shape. If the coconut is like a brown bowling ball, it is mature. If it is white, cylindrical in shape, but with a pointy top, that is a young coconut. Once you hack into the ...

To any rawists out there willing to give out some tips, I would greatly appreciate your help. Trying to go raw in Summit County, but not finding many resources locally. First question - are "young Thai coconuts" just regular coconuts like what are available at Vitamin Cottage, only without the husks? If they're not the same, then where do you buy them? Also, would a 4 shelf dehydrator be adequate, or do I really need all 9 shelves on the big ones? Finally, going to be in Denver soon...any good restaura...
